There are lot of rumors that the Trump friendly Justice Department and acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker are planning to end the Mueller investigation and keep as much hidden from the public as they can get away with. Congress, at least the House, is not likely to let them get off that easily.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D. CA) told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that he is ready to sue the Justice Department if the report is not made public, saying “We will obviously subpoena the report. We will bring Bob Mueller in to testify before Congress. We will take it to court if necessary.”
Schiff later tweeted clarification of his justification for the statement:
Rep. Adam Schiff tells me he is “absolutely” prepared to sue Trump administration if Mueller report is not made public: “We will obviously subpoena the report. We will bring Bob Mueller in to testify before Congress. We will take it to court if necessary” https://t.co/lSX5poLKT9 pic.twitter.com/kKtMjf1Wo3
